Jarweng Educational Development (JED) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to preserving and promoting South Sudanese culture within the Afro-diaspora community in San Diego County. In addition to imparting cultural knowledge within the United States, JED undertakes various projects aimed at constructing essential infrastructure, including schools, in South Sudan.

Our mission extends beyond cultural education, encompassing the enhancement of life through the infusion of culture, dance, and a focus on better education, healthcare, and commerce for the residents of the third-world country, South Sudan. We envision a future where our efforts contribute to positive transformations and sustainable development in the lives of those we serve.
